The PADI assistant instructor course is the next step on the professional ladder to become an instructor. As dive master you have surely read the changing this course has undergone the last year. The result is that you can take the first tree days from the Instructor Development Course and become assistant instructor. The following step will be the 4 days OWSI program to prepare you as Open Water Instructor. As Assistant Instructor you will learn teaching techniques to train student divers under my supervision. This includes the knowledge development, confined and open water sessions. As assistant instructor you can run different programs independently and sign some certifications for your students, give all the academic training and assist and supervise diving activities which makes you very valuable for dive centers and resorts. Again you’ll have a strongly influence on the safety and fun divers enjoy during training and diving.
The course integrates :
-familiarize and refresh the knowledge of PADI courses
-Review general standards and procedures
-Discuss business of diving and dive industry
-Discuss responsibility and risk management
-background RDP
-Conduct knowledge development presentation
-Conduct confined water presentations
-Conduct open water presentations
-conduct PPB and AWARE courses

-Skill evaluation
Pre-requisite
- -Certification: divemaster or equivalent
- -Pre-requisite Dives: 60
- -Minimum Age: 18
